Here's a tip for working on your right and left splits!. Use a mat that is 4-6 inches off the ground (it can be a stack of towels or a sturdy box, too)!. When doing your right split, but your right foot on top of the mat!. It will be difficult, and you'll have to hold yourself up, but when you take the mat away after a couple of minutes, you will be able to go down lower! Do the same with your left side, and try to practice everyday!.

As for getting noticed!.!.!.You don't have to be the best dancer, but you can be the best performer! When doing a combination, make sure to smile and use a lot of energy!. When doing exercises, always make sure you think about technique, and hold your head high!. Your teacher will definitely notice that you are making an effort every class!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Have you asked your teacher for her opinion on why your leg is bent!? Ask for some input and then your teacher is sure to watch to see if you are listening!. Another thing you can do is to ask the teacher to watch you do a turn and then tell you what you are doing wrong!.
Sometimes you have to bring the attention to you!. If you speak up, that will let the teacher know that you are interested in improving!. If you don't speak up, that tells the teacher that you are content to do things the wrong way!. Good luck and happy dancing!
