1!. The strap is to hold the shoe onto your foot!. Therefore, when you put the shoe on, the strap should go over, on top, of your foot, not underneath!. Some schools require ballet slippers to have ribbons instead of elastics, while other require a criss cross elastic!. Leave your like this for now!.
2!. Ballet slippers are made the same, not with a right and left!. When you get them, write your name inside on the sole, as well as a small R on the right and a small L on the left!. This saves time, as it is hard sometimes to tell, even once worn in, which side is which!. Its quite uncomfortable when you get the wrong side!
3!. Yes, ballet slippers mould to your individual foot!. Everyones feet are different, so while yours may feel great on your feet, if someone else tries them on, it may feel very strange! It also feels strange if you accidentally put the right foot on the left if you have worn them in!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would wear the strap on top, it will hold your foot in the shoe better when you're dancing!.!.!.

Ballet shoes do not have a left/right, but some people like to mark the inside of one so that they know what foot it goes on!.!. personally, I like to switch them every other class, so I don't worry about it!.

Ballet slippers won't mold completely to your feet, but they should fit snuggly!. Leather ones will stretch out a bit, but not all that much!.
also to clean ballet slippers:
Leather ones cannot be put in the washer!. But you can spot clean them with a damp cloth!.!. then, when they're drying, you should wear them around the house!.!.!. it helps them mold to your feet better!.

Canvas ones can be put in the washer but must never be put in the dryer!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The strap is always a useful thing to have!. I would not recommend putting it under or cutting it off!. The strap is there to support your foot, so the ballet slipper doesn't fall out!. They didn't just put there for no reason!. It is used to keep your foot snug in the shoe, so that while you are dancing it doesn't doesn't begin to slip off!.

It doesn't matter which shoe is right and left!. You can start with whichever one you want!. After you wear them for a few classes, you'll notice a gradual change!. After a while, they will take the shape of your right and your left foot!. If you put it on the wrong foot, you will be able to tell!. So it doesn't matter what you start with, eventually your feet will shape the ballet slipper!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

to make sure the strap stays on top, you should probably sew it so it doesn't fall out!. eventually, your shoes will have a right and left, but in the first few times you wear them it won't matter!. eventually you'll be able to tell them apart, esp!. if you spill something on them (like i do :-) yes, they do mold to your feet but that takes a while!. if they're full sole, it'll be harder at first to point your feet very far, but in the long run it'll be great for your pointe because it build muscle in your feet!.

hope this helps! good luck with ballet!Www@QuestionHome@Com

You wear the strap on top to hold it onto your foot!.
No, they are identical, but I have put an R and an L in mine so I always put them on the same foot!.
They don't normally mold to your foot, pointe shoes are made to fit your feet, but you shouldn't be going on those for the next few years anyways as you need to strengthen your ankles!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yeah, the strap is supposed to be on top so the shoes doesn't fall off while you're dancing!. You should sew it on if it's not already attached!. Ballet shoes at first don't really have assigned feet!. Either shoe can be left or right, but you should mark which is which because in time the shoe will shape to your foot and become more comfy!. No two feet are the same, believe it or not!. Don't fret, with time and more experience, you'll get the hang of it!. And you'll learn from the people at the studio/school!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

well!.!.i only took ballet when i was 4 so im not so good at it and dont know much about it!.!.!.but im pretty sure they r suppose to have an assigned right and left cuz rite now i take jazz and there is assigned!. when i started jazz it didnt look different either!.!.!.try wearing them and seeing if one shoe feels more comfortable on one single foot! Write in the bottom of your shoe which one you want to be right or left!. Then, when you've danced in them for awhile, they'll take shape!.

You don't HAVE to wear them; but I would recommend that you do!.!.!.!.it's better, and helps you stretch your arch more!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

those seem like good shoes for a beginner cuz there leather with a full sole!. the strap goes on top and there is no left or right!. there the sameWww@QuestionHome@Com

it has to be on top it does not matter what side i think they doWww@QuestionHome@Com

Okay, first if you're starting ballet for the first time I recommend that you get leather shoes if you don't already have them!.!.!. from experience as a beginner leather shoes help you control your turns and they stretch after a while!. To me they seem to have made me work a little harder when it came to footwork because they weren't so slippery!. However I would recommend from personal experience getting split sole leather ballet shoes because it gives you a little more arch freedom in your shoes and when you're standing on your toes it won't feel like your heel is being pulled back or like your slipper is going to come off!. The good thing about ballet slippers is that YOU break them in YOU choose wich is right or left if it doesn't matter to you then don't because ther is no tru right or left unless you want it to be!. The leather shoes do mold to your foot but after a while of working in them they tend to loosen up!. After a couple of classes and maybe advancement you might want to think about getting canvass split toe slippers because from experience it sticks less to the floor!. I recommend for beginners to always wear your straps!.!.!.you don't want to be in the middle of floor work and your slipper comes off!
