Position:Home>Dancing> Cha Cha slide...? (best answer will be given)?

Question: Cha Cha slide!.!.!.!? (best answer will be given)!?
i just came from my school's homecoming dance and it was kind of obvious that there was a problem which, while funny, was also incredibly awkward for everybody (and i mean EVERYBODY) in the room!.
anyone who's been to a dance of some kind should know this song, the Cha Cha Slide!.
if you don't, it's basically just this guy telling you dance moves that you all should copy (ex!. slide to the left, cha cha now, hands on your knees, etc)

however, i've noticed that *no one* (at least in my school) knows what the heck 'DJ Casper' is talking about when he gives the instructions of : "turn it out", "go to work", "charlie brown", and "reverse"!.

if anyone could either tell me in detail what you're supposed to dance like when given these phrases, or give me an accurate video or something, that'd be awesome!. thanks!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Okay first of all I dont want you doing the wrong moves! hahaha, Charlie Brown is when you hop from your front foot to your back foot, so like hoping, but front to back!.

hands on your knees, you put your hand on your knees and like shake or "pop" your butt!.

reverse you turn all the way around, but you go the other way, so if your facing wall 1, you'd go to wall 2!.

turn it out, you turn to the left, each time he says it!. so wall one, to wall two, wall two to wall three, wall three to wall four!.

Hmmm I don't think I've ever heard "go to work" hahah probably because i'm having too much fun to notice!. hahaha

Just have fun with it && if you mess up on something, oh well, just have fun!! it wont be the end of the world!! Www@QuestionHome@Com

ok, lol first its 'turn around' and you simply turn around!. charlie brown, is the classic move where you put your arm to your head and your other arm to your leg and you thrust in and out!. Reverse is where you also turn around, like your reversing!. and for go to work you put ur foot up then down, hope that helps lolWww@QuestionHome@Com

well i know that "charlie brown" is when you you cross your legs and wave your arms across your knees and "reverse" is when you jump backwards!.

Thatz how i do it anyway
Hope it helpsWww@QuestionHome@Com

srry cant give u a vid and i only know one of them!.!.!.hehe! reverse is just turning around basically!Www@QuestionHome@Com

turn it out means to turn to the other side!. so if ur facing the front, turn to the left!. go to work means the same thing as "turn it out" charlie brown is wen u put one foot in front and one foot behind u and hop from the front to the back!. reverse means to turn in a 180 degree turn (halfway around) and then turn back to the same direction!. heres a link!

or go to google and type in cha cha slide!.!.!. hope i helped!Www@QuestionHome@Com

"turn it out"-- there really isnt a specific move that people do for this phrase!. (at least in my town)

"go to work"-- same as turn it out!. since this phrase is right before clap your hands i think!? or some other main, big phrase no one really does anything ( like i said at least in my town)

"charlie brown"-- (link to video is in the sources spot of my answer) this is the most accurate video i found on youtube!. obviously, you woulbnt do it as fast as he is in the video!. but it gets the point across!. some people add arms, as in swinging the opposite arm at the same time!. (commonly known as 'trenches' if your familiar with any dance vocabulary)

"reverse"-- for this phrase, we usually just do sort of a turn thing!. basiclly we just turn around!. like a spin of some sort!.

everone always adds their own style to the Cha Cha Slide, and thats what makes it the cha cha slide! this was based on what we do in my town/school but its basiclly the same for most people!.!.!. i think!Www@QuestionHome@Com
