Question: Icing feet after dancing!?
Ok, so my wife saw on the Celine Dion DVD how some of the dancers put their feet in tubs of ice water after performances to help their feet from swelling/aching so much!. Does anyone do this and/or how do you tolerate it and for how long!? She can't stand it more than 5 seconds!.!.!. Any thoughts!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

this is not always the best idea!. you need to get dixie cups and freeze water in them!. then you take one and cut off the top you you can run the ice on your feet!. you only need to do this for a few minutes and it prevents swelling and aching!. i will occasionally put my feet in a tub of ice but usually just taking a shower and then soaking my feet in warm water and Epson salt is the way to go!. this is what most dancers do and this also helps blisters and ingrown toenailsWww@QuestionHome@Com

it's something that takes getting used to!. the most i put my feet in ice is for maybe a half hour!. some people don't need to do that though, sometimes just a cold bath tub helps just as much!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You get used to it for a while, but at first, don't make it so cold!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
