Pointe with tap shoes?

Question: Pointe with tap shoes!?

is it possible to go en pointe and dance in tap shoes since they have a box!? just curious!.!.!.!.!.!. =)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well!.!.!.!. technically, yes you can go en pointe in your tap shoes since they have a box!.

However, your tap shoes do not provide the ankle support that your pointe shoes do!. Therefore, you can seriously screw your ankles up, and maybe break them, if you try to do your pointe work in your tap shoes!.

If you want to try pointe-tap, try getting a pair of Sansha T-Perina's!

I have them and they were so fun to dance in! I did have to shave down the tips of the taps because it was impossible to get on the box (the taps extended too far past the box!)
