Of course you can, I would suggest looking into a studio where you can take pointe at LEAST three times a week so that you can get to the level you want to achieve!. also, consider taking a technique class since you have had a long break, most studio's will probably require you to do this before jumping into a pointe class!. No matter what you do in dance, I always suggest to students that they should take a ballet class because it is the backbone for all dancing!.!.!. kind of like the piano for music!.!.!. it's where you learn all the basics and learn correct technique!. I hope I helped you out!Www@QuestionHome@Com

You will need to take regular ballet for awhile to sort of re-train your body!.!.!.

Depending on how strong of a dancer you are, how your technique is and how hard you work at it, you could be en pointe by next year!.!.!. but then again, it could also take you 10 years!. Depends completely on you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

it will take you at least 2 months to get the strength back in your feet, but seen as you are 14 your feet will pretty much have stopped developing!. I'm 15 and started pointe when i was 10, and quit for a couple of months!. It took me about 4 weeks to get strength back on 3 2hr classes a week!. hope this helps!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i think that you should talk to your teacher and ask to do ballet for a month or so, and then you will gain some more strength in your feet!.!. and then do pointe!.!. i just started pointe this year and i must admit!.!.!. its petty hard, but just practice, practice, practice !Www@QuestionHome@Com

Sure! At 14 you do have the advantage of having almost fully developed metatarsals, which will help support you!. You'll be suprised how much technique you've retained! Just keep working at it, you'll catch up quickly!Www@QuestionHome@Com

It takes a while to get the strength back!. Sometimes it can take just as long as you took off to get it back!. I am only on my second year of point!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
