I started when I was 3 and I know many ppl that start when their 2!. When they are that age the instructors don't expect them to memorize choreography or anything like that!. They are just learning the fundamentals like where to step, and hand motions!. If they perform, they will have an instructor performing with them so they can watch her!. It's better to start them off at a young age anyway because they can get used to physical activity!. Since I am not from California, I can't really help you on where to go!.!.!.but if they let children here in Tennessee start at age 2, then they should in California too!. You should try looking at places a little outside of Sacramento!.Www@QuestionHome@Com I know a lot of people that started around 2-3, the only problem is the only type of dance most studios teach is ballet at that age, because ballet is sort of easy to teach to young kids!. Then around 6-8 they start teaching kids jazz, hip hop, etc!. Usually they're able to learn more effectively when they're older!. My suggestion to you is to enroll her in ballet first, and if she likes that, as she grows older she might want to try different styles of dance!.Www@QuestionHome@Com wait until she is about five and is old enough to learn effectively!.!. i don't think they have dance classes for someone this young anywhere in the world!. when she is older and if she is still passionate show her all the different styles of dance and let her make her own decision!. =] ???Www@QuestionHome@Com There's a reason for that!.
