it may not be your padding but your kind of shoe!. your foot changes as you grow and so you may not be able to use that kind anymore!. are they too small!? perhaps it is just taking you a while to break them in!. thicker gel pads make it harder to get up on pointe i find, and put a lot of uneeded strain on me ankles and feet!. if you are going to cut your toe nails be sure to cut them at least a say before you dance on pointe or else you may ruin your nails since they are newly exposedWww@QuestionHome@Com

I personally always find that the thicker pads make pointe more painful, because they completely restrict the movement of your toes, i would try a thinnner pad like the reversible ones that are sock material on one side and gel on the other, and then place a small amount of lamb's wool in them!. also, keep in mind the fact that pointe does hurt, and while pads minimize the pain, they can sometimes feel uncomfortable until you really get used to the feeling of the shoe!. If the pain is really bad, possibly try a different kind of shoe, with a wider box maybe!. Or just break in your box more, that may relieve some of the pressure you are feeling!. Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm don't know where you live, but you need to go to a good dance store where the people know pointe shoes!. Try on different types of shoes with different toe pads until you find the perfect one!. Everyone's feet are different!. If you don't know where to go, ask your instructor!. I like bloches!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

I used to completely cover my feet with plasters and pads before going on pointe and it made them worse because there is no room left in the shoe!! Don't pad them too much but a bit of lambs wool does help and also surgical spirit hardens the skin so it is harder to get blisters!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

try another king of padding, it might help, keep it comfortable!Www@QuestionHome@Com
