Question: How much experiance do you have to have to get into the School of American Ballet!? (www!.sab!.org)!?

How much experiance do you need!? Like how many years of pointe, how much flexibilty, etc!. And how do they fit in academic stuff!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

SAB is one of the top 3 schools in the country if not number one!. you need a lot of experience and at least 3 years on pointe!. you will obviously have to audition for a spot and you will be competing with almost every dancer in the country!. i have a friend who goes there and she says its extremly hard and competitive!. email if you have any questionsWww@QuestionHome@Com

I think you have to audition!. I don't think that they really ask how long you danced as to know how much talent you have!. Letter of recommendations wouldn't hurt!. Some schools are a lot harder to get into!. Most of the time ballet schools are use as a sub for PE in school, but you still need to take care of you academics yourself!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
