Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: First of all good for you for your courage to ask someone, because a lot of freshmen go stag because they are scared!. Next, figure out if your going with a group or just the two of you then meeting up with other friends, if your going with a group figure out what's going on, with how you are getting there, and what you are doing for dinner, if it's just you two, pick her up at her house, and be prepared for pictures, go somewhere that you both like or has lots of options, and sorry but for you are paying for dinner, it's the nice thing to do and if she offers say it's your treat!. And DON'T FORGET TO GET HER A CORSAGE!!!! Before the dance ask her the color of her dress and go to a florist, and order it so you know that it will be on time for the dance!. also just for your information no one really dances at homecoming, some people freak, and others just bounce to the music, for fast songs, if you get nervous look around and see what other people are doing!. For slow songs, it's like hugging her but you move to the music, and if she feels comfortable she will hold you close and put her head on you shoulder, don't be alarmed this means that she likes you and feels comfortable doing that!. And to help you get to know her better, say hello in the hallways even if her friends are around, stop for a chat, and walk her to class, it will show her that you care, and that you are trying to get to know her, but be careful of being anoying give her time with friends because some girls see it as being anoying!. also offer to pay for her ticket, if she wants to pay for it herself don't be offended but if she accepts your offer, great!. But also let her know that you wanna dance with her!. The songs that they will most likely play are like rap/hip hop songs!. Liike probably Disturbia, Lolly Lolly, Got Money, In the Ayer!. When guys dance, I like when it looks like they know what they're doing!. (even if you don't know!.) Confidence is key!. Basically, just go with the music!. Jump around!. Well that's how my friends and I dance!. Just watch other people and copy!. Maybe even practice in front of a mirror!. Oh, and they MAY play soulja boy!. Even though the song is pretty old!.
