Umm!.!.!. Yes it does hurt!. But the only way you can continue is to go to a "happy place" while you are dancing and you won't feel it as much!. You have to remember that humans were not designed to go onto pointe!. Our genetic makeup is not accustommed to standing on our toes for a period of time!. Another man made invention!! You will get blisters but soon your feet will callouse and you will not get anymore!. I would recommend you walk around in them to break them in a little and to get your half toe!. It is not hard to walk in pointe shoes!! Dont be scared!!! I absolutely love pointe and it is my absolute favorite class to take:)

Congratulations! Thats always an exciting thing! The shoes will hurt until you get used to it, and you may get blisters tho i never have so you may not!.!.!.Its hard to walk in them only when their not broken into once you've broken them in their really easy to walk in and fun :D sometimes its easy other times its hard, it really depends on the step like turns on pointe r a lot more fun and easy then on flat b/c u need very little power to turn!.!.!.!.i will suggest tho that you work some with a thera band on your foot to strengthen your ankle and work on your abs also by doing crunches, sit ups, the hundred, you can do criss-cross with your legs down and then back up but in the hundred and criss-sross keep your back on the ground and only go as far down to the ground as you can w/o lifting your back into its natural curve!.!.!.Good Luck!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

When I started Pointe for the first time, I was a bit scared but excited at the same time!. The shoes may hurt when you first put them on but the toe pads you use help!. There are also many other things like lamb's wool and Gel Tips you can buy to help make dancing in them less painful!. After breaking in your pointe shoes they become
easier to dance in AND easier to walk in!. Pointe may not be as easy as ballet when you first start, but it will gradually become easier the more you dance!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Pointe shoes hurt a lot, if your feet has never put them on before and you're using new pointe shoes, you got two options!. Let you're feet get used to it and the shoes will break in!. or bend the shoes with your hands!. dont do it too hard or the soles might break but enough that it wouldn't hurt your feet when you go up on your toes!.
wear a toe pad and if your toes still hurt too much put wool or one or two cotton balls at you toes!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hello! The shoes do not hurt!. What I did was I wore a GEL TOE PAD my first day!. After that I started getting a blister on one of my toes!. So I got special individual TOE GEL SOCK and that helped!. You just have to experiment with different gel pads and find the most comfortable thing for YOU!.
When you walk in them you have to think heel then toe!. Walk the opposite way a dancer should walk!. lol!.
Obviously it is not as easy as ballet on flat foot, but it all comes from practice! Good luck and congrats on the new shoes!!! Www@QuestionHome@Com

It does not hurt much! But at the beginning is a pain, You just need to get used to them! When I used to do Pointe My legs at the beginning were red after I took shoes off, but like two weeks later, my feet's got used to it!
Good Luck!
