Well tap can be really, really fun!. When I was younger tap was my favourite class and I always looked forward to it :) But if you want to go far with it and be really good, you should take ballet, too!. In fact, if you want to take any dance classes, ballet is a good idea!. It's the basis of all kinds of dancing!.

Tap is cool because you get to create rhythms to the music!. It's kind of crazy what you can begin to do with your own feet, but it takes a lot of practice!. Anyone can do it though!

also I'd suggest you make sure your shoes fit really well!. If they are a little too big, try wearing socks!. My taps are a bit too big and the blisters I get from them are worse then the ones from my pointe shoes!! If you do get blisters try to let them heal before tapping again!. Band aids and Polysporin really helps it heal faster!.

Hope I helped! Have fun :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

When ever I put my tap shoes on, my spirit lifts and I have the time of my life!
I love it!.
If you can get all of the simple moves perfect, then you will have no trouble learning the more difficult steps!.
I've done tap for 11 years, and I still enjoy it as much as I used too!
If you have an interpretive and creative streak, then I would recommend tap for you, because it is one of the funnest forms of dance that there is!
Although, ballet, jazz and contemporary are really fun too, but in my opinion, Tap dancing is the easiest and funnest! Www@QuestionHome@Com

Ballet should always be your first dance class, regardless of how you want to dance eventually!. It teaches you flexibility, discipline, coordination, balance, and everything else that will come in handy when you dance!. After one or two years of ballet, if you want to switch to tap that's fine!. But always take ballet first!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The main thing about tap is that it has to be loose and almost mechanical!. It takes a lot of practice to get the feel for it, but once you have it, it's really easy and fun!. I can't really recommend taking ballet before tap; in tap your feet and ankles need to be doing the actions and ballet is almost too disciplined for that!. I'd try jazz, rather than ballet!. Tap can be difficult but if you are defiantly committed then you will enjoy it and pick it up quickly!. I personally love tap and would recommend it to anyone!. Don't listen to anybody that tells you you can't do it or that its too late because anything you put your mind to you can do!. But just be aware that your teacher may put you with younger kids or older kids and you just have to adjust!. My First year of lyrical my teacher put me with older girls and i had no experience what so ever!.!.!. Many people would have went home crying of embarrassment and never gone back!. You gotta just stick it out and be passionate about it =]!. I defiantly think you should start tap!! Its so enjoyablee and fun!. GOOD LUCK!! =DWww@QuestionHome@Com

tap is just like a free spirited thing!.!.!.it's really fun because you can take the most complicated step and tweak it(adding arms!.!.personality) to make it your own style!.!.its a really comfortable style of dance!.!.there aren't really much rules and limits once you get the hang of all the basic steps!.!.you'll enjoy it!.!.!.buuuut!.!.!.!.!.if you want to go far with dancing!.!.i strongly suggest you take up ballet as well!.!.!.while its not always so fun for some because its so "limited" and "technical"!.!.!.it can take you places hope i helped!! :)Www@QuestionHome@Com
