ok well when you say that you have bad turn out on pointe does that mean that you have bad turn out on flat!? if its just on pointe that you have bad turn out then that's easier to fix!. you just need to work on holding the turn out!. try rises in 1st and 2nd concentrating on your heels pushing forward and your thighs being flat, knees pointing to the side walls!. make sure you are turning out from the hips and you are rotating the legs from underneath the legs not the tops!. do it facing the barre!. once you feel happy enough with your rises move on to releves!. try to work on them everyday if you can!. the more you do them the better they will get!. (while you are doing that you will also be working on your feet!.)

if its on flat as well then you will need to work on that!. any problems you have on flat are doubled on pointe!. jest keep working on it!. working on simple exersises like your barre work and focus on your fondues, grande battements and developes, anyrthing that requires turnout!.

when you go into second don't make it too wide else you will have trouble getting up and over the box!. make sure that in both 1st and 2nd that you are pushing your arches!. you might find that your arch isn't as bendy and flexible so you might need to work on that or if it is it might just be that it isn't strong enough!. your main worry is whether you are getting onto the bloch!. talk to your teacher she'll be able to help you and work with you to fix your technique!. hope this helps!. happy dancing!Www@QuestionHome@Com

some stretches for your turnout:

do the butterfly stretch, and once you can get your knees all the way down bring in your feet as close as you can

the frog stretch: lie on your stomach with your legs in in the butterfly position and your feet in first

sit like that for a long time, have people press down on you

also do first and second positions against a wall facing the wall

IMPORTANT: remember turnout comes from your hips, not your knees or feet!. so don't force it, unless you want twisted ankles!.

an arch stretch: stand on the knuckles of your feet

hope that helps!Www@QuestionHome@Com

what brand of pointe shoes do you have!? if they're bloch!.!.!.many people have trouble getting over the box!.

to get more flexible feet, do a lot of pointing exercising!.!.!.everyday!.

turnout!.!.!.well!.!.maybe you need to practice a bit more with flat ballet shoes in releve before you're doing it on pointe!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
