I told my kids well before they reached their teens that when they get older they will come to this same point; friends or future!. What you and my kids need to do is look at the big picture and select future!. My son has the opportunity to go to a better school, fully paid food, rent, and tuition!. Instead he is choosing to work full time, live in an apartment with friends and go to a smaller unknown school Podunk university!. Why!? Because he wants to stay with friends!. If you agree he is stupid for this than staying at your podunk university is just as stupid!. Go to the other school, if you want to excel you will find many people want you to stay back with them!. Don’t let that happen to you!. Choose friends and you choose mediocrity; you obviously don’t want to be average…do you!? Tell them and see what they suggest!. also, if you are thinking about moving to a different school talk to your mates!.
