nstructions
Difficulty: Easy
Step1
Grip pom poms correctly!. Use a baton handled pom set for the easiest option, making sure your hand is wrapped around the baton handle with your thumb comfortably settled over your fingers like you're holding a tennis racket!.
Step2
Keep your wrists straight so the poms become an extension of your arms!. When you move the poms, work on holding the handles tightly without squeezing too hard, keeping your wrist and forearm muscles engaged!.
Step3
Press your shoulders down and keep your head up, no matter how you're moving!. Keep your arms straight and exaggerate your arm movements so the audience can see the poms from the last row in the gym or on the field!. Use good posture and make the poms become a part of you!.
Step4
Keep your pom poms slightly in front of your body at all times!. It's easier to control your arms and poms when you can always see them in your peripheral vision!.
Step5
Move your poms constantly so the light catches the varying colors and metallics!. Turn your wrists back and forth quickly, move your arms with your routine and throw your poms into the air after a key play!.
Step6
Stand with your hands on your hips or behind your back when not performing!. Keep holding onto your poms so you have them the second you need them!.
