Position:Home>Dancing> Dancers help me!!! why do i feel like this?Question: Dancers help me!!! why do i feel like this!? i am a good dancer!. but not that good!. i am not even en pointe yet!. and my teacher is putting me in an advanced ballet class!. will the other people get mad at me because that class requires 4 yrs experience and i only have 1!. and will i be able to catch on!? also,can someone give me a good ballet website were i can finally get my cygnets right!? Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Hey, I was in a similar situation and of course I thought everybody would be mad at me!. But it was the opposite! I couldn't believe how encouraging they were; particularly if one makes it clear how passionate one is about dance and really is a team player!. My particular sticking point is pirouettes and I've tried so many websites but couldn't recommend just one; you'll just have to spend an afternoon Googling and (safely) trying techniques!. You might want to book a 15 minute private lesson with your teacher also; she'll definitely understand and see the benefits if she's seen your talent already!. I was a bit jealous when a couple of the girls who had only been dancing for about a year got their pointe shoes and joined our class!. I had worked so long and hard!. But that was just simple jealousy!. I wasn't angry with them!. I still treat them like a member of the class should be treated and still respect them a lot!. I'm sure you'll be able to catch on just fine!.
