make sure they aren't too big!.!.!.did you get them fitted properly!? there are usually little drawstring type things inside of your shoe!. make sure those are snug then tie them!. also, they'll stay on better once you get the ribbons and elastics on!.

I sometimes just bend the pointe shoes with my hands!. you can also hit them against something hard a little bit to break them in!. but the only way to truly break them in is to wear them and really try doing demi pointe!. I know its hard!.!.!.but it'll work the best!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

okay, so i'm not quite sure you should go slamming your shoes in doors and over chairs like some people suggest, a lot of professional dancers do that because when they get pointe shoes they only wear them for about one performance and they need to be broken in immediately!. My suggestion would be to not do anything with them untill you call or e-mail or see your dance teacher and she'll tell you what to do to break them in because you want to have them broken in the way your teacher wants them!.!. there is a possibility that your shoes were fit wrong and that you may have a shank that is too strong for your foot which is a very bad thing so you should ask your teacher about that and the size of them before you sew on your ribbons and go up on pointe in them they could be very dangerous!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Make sure they fit properly!. when you put ur shoes on make sure there is only a pinch of fabric in the back that you can hold onto!. if they are you first pair you shouldnt have gotten a hard shank!. you shoud have told the fitter that it was your first pair!. sooo sew the ribbons and elastics!. sew the elastics at the back seam and not straight across and make sure the inside ribbon is cut a tad bit shorter than the outside ribbon!. make sure its even when wrapped around your ankle!.

to break your shoes in!. just walk around your house for a while on the balls of your feet!.(or at least try to) for a while!. get our feet sweaty it will break th shanks down a bit!. then wen they are sort of pliable!. to a few roll ups and relly press your demis!. also go en pointe whiel grabbign on to something to keep steady and with one foot press down on the heel of the other!.

hey!!
congradulations on getting your pointe shoes!!!
well you can try burning under them but only for a like a second because then you'll ruin them!.
you can also try smacking them against a wall!.
what worked best for me was to get a chair and bend the shoes around the back of the chair!.!.!.!.!.

could you answer a question for me!?!?!?

how long did it take for you to get your pointe shoes!?!?

if you answer it i can edit this answer and put way more things i just need to know this though!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

like they said early there should be strings in the front and you can pull them until it is tight enough

when i want to break in my shoes i just hold both ends of the shoes and bend them back and forth (not too much though) that helps some plus just trying to go on demi pointe will help a lot!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
