I recommend stretching out your calves and thighs every night after your bath or shower!. Stay in each stretch for 20 seconds or more!. Then after a few stretches, try doing the splits!.

Here are some tips:

* Stretch after you’ve warmed up, like after running or doing exercise!.
* Don’t have someone forcefully push you into stretches to avoid muscle injuries!.
* Do stretches as much as you can every day!.
* Do your stretches slowly or you’ll hurt yourself!.
* Listen to your body!. If it wants to stop, have a rest!.

Can you do the full splits!? If you can, that'll really help, if you can't, stretch out your legs harder but don't hurt yourself!
So when you've stretched out, practise your leaps!. Pretend your aim is to get your toes to your head, but sideways!. Keep practsising every night!

Hope I helped and good luck!

If you are flexible, but you just can't seem to get your legs up, consider the idea that your muscles may be tensing up during the leap!.

when your legs feel as though they are about to be stretched too far, they automatically tense up, and your leaps don't go as far!. The same thing happens many times when you are stretching!. That is why everyone tells you to relax while stretching!

Believe it or not, but the best thing to do right now is to relax your legs a bit more when you throw them into the air!. Of course, it won't have that big BANG that most leaps have, and you will still use the strength you have to leap!.

To relax your legs, don't squeeze them as much when you leap, and seriously have a relaxed state of mind!. this may sound corny, but think of floating on a bubble!. chances are, your legs, in their relaxed state will rise higher than they would if you were tensing up, and using too much muscle!.

This will train your legs, and once you get in the habit of relaxing your legs in the leap, your body will be used to letting your legs go far, and you will easily be able to control your leaps!.

If you feel that flexibility is your problem, and not so much the tense-ness, then you will just need to stretch in a certain way!. With a little luck, you will have perfect leaps without having to worry about the tense muscle reflex!.

sit in your splits, try to watch tv, listen to music, or do anything that will distract you from the stretching you feel in your leg!. When your mind does not recognize the sore stretching feeling in your legs, it will let you go farther!. Of course, there is always a point when relaxing will not hide the pain (stretching too far!)!. This is the same relaxing exercise that will help you go farther in your leaps!

Sit in your splits, and make sure that each leg is stretched evenly!. lean back, and forth for at least 30 seconds each!. also, you can lie on your back with your legs straight, and pull each leg to your face!.

dont ever bounce in your splits or any stretch, because it turns on that
muscle tensing reflex that will make your leaps smaller!.

practice your splits every day, I practiced my middle splits everyday and it definately improved!.
They say what your split is on the ground is what it will look like in the airWww@QuestionHome@Com

once warmed up try flicking into a leap rather than going through a straight leg once your legs are used to spliting in the air youll find it easier to do other kinds of leaps!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
