Question: Does a good dancer have a chance at well known dance school although they have never taken lessons!?
I am in high school and I have always wanted to dance, but since I was always moving I missed opportunities to get into dance schools ( and because of the money) I am pretty flexible and dance like a dancer, but I don't know any techniques or terms and such!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Check out the ever so convenient http://abt!.org/education/dictionary/inde!.!.!. !. It provides you with the terms, its definition, and a demonstration or picture!. This will help you have the knowledge to back up your talent!. Then what you can do is try going to some auditions, just for experience, and ask them for feedback after the audition!. This will let you know where you stand and you can get some the feedback from the hiring folk!. But if you're not looking to be a professional, getting into a school shouldn't be an issue!. I don't think getting into schools is as hard as getting into exclusive programs or companies that pay you!. Just get out there and show them what you've got!. If you're good enough, a school may just give you a scholarship! Good Luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

You need some lessons!. I would at least go to one or two lessons with a pro so they can look at your moves and tell you if you are good enough for a dance school!. Because if they think you are, then you know from an actual professional that you have a shot, rather then us nobodies out here in cyberspace!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
