On your first class, watch the teachers and the other dancers carefully!. Be sure to note any guidelines or traditions they have: Is there a dress code!? Do girls wear their hair in buns!? Does the class begin with a stretch or warm-up!? Does the class end with reverence!? Learn the ways of the studio and in no time you will feel at home!. also, if you're usually loud or outgoing, take it easy for the first few classes to see how serious the other students are!. If the teacher prefers a silent class, keep it down or you will draw attention to yourself!. Interact with other students before and after class, though, because getting to know others will make your switch a lot easier- you might even find a new friend! Good luck!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i just started a new studio too, different than what im used to, and i was very nervous!. right before you go in, take a deep breath and remember what ur there for!. DANCE! most people are glad that ur at their studio, so most likely they will be friendly! :) this also goes along for teachers too!. be glad ur at a new dance studio, and if you do get nervous, remember that you like to dance!. its just dance, so have fun!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

just try do learn the steps the best you can and dance your heart out, even if you cant do the steps right as long as your into it and having fun nobody will notice!. just get through one class dancing the best you can even if you dont like it!. then quit if you REALLY dont like it!. but have fun with it!Www@QuestionHome@Com

go in with a clear head!. Remember why you are there (because you love dance)!. I went through this sort of change many years ago!. Yes, I felt a little intimidated, but after about 5 minutes of class, nothing else mattered!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
