the majority of ballet schools/studios don't allow underwear or bras!. Although, there are tan colored leotards, or bras/underwear that you can buy at a dance store!. Actually I think they carry them at other stores too, but those work well too!.

Many of the leotards out there today have built in bras too, so I wouldn't worry too much about that part!. But it is nice to have the skin/tan colored one for performances when you have costumes and such!.

It depends!.

Dance is a sport!.!.!.depending on how large your chest is, you may be more comfortable wearing a bra!. If you do wear one while you dance, try to find something minimizing!.!.!.don't get like a push-up or padded adorable Victoria Secret bra, just something to give you some support!.

As for underwear, some girls opt to go without so that it won't show if their leotard rides up a bit!. You can also wear a thong and achieve the same effect!.!.!.you shouldn't even have a problem with bikini style underwear!.

im 14 and i have boobs so i buy leotards with built in bra cuase other bras are soo heavy and bulky!. i wear underwear and tights underneath!.
i have special under garments for showcases and performances but in class i wear wut i just told you=]Www@QuestionHome@Com

underwear is a preference!. but if you decide to wear underwear during a performance, make sure it is lighter than your costume!. you can wear a strapless bra or just put pads from a bathing suit in your leotard and don't forget tights! Www@QuestionHome@Com

whatever your comfortable with!. i usually wear a thong under and no bra but if you have a big cheast and want more support and feel more comfortable with a bra on than that should be fine too!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

at my dance academy we are required to wear tights, underwear is optional, but i think its more comfy with it, and a dance bra!. (clear back, nude or clear straps, not padded!.)Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you're wearing tights, you don't need underwear!. And you can wear a sports bra if you feel you need it!.
