Question: How to get strong for pointe work!?
What are some good excercizes to strengthen my body before i get on pointe in ballet!?!?!? Please answer soon so i can start working on it!!! Thanks!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

in your other questions you said you go on in 3 days i think right!?
!.!.!.that's not nearly enough time to make a difference!. you should have been doing 50 releves twice a day, and 20 releves with one foot in coupe twice a day!. you should be able to stand on releve for 30 seconds in each postition (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th), 30 seconds with one foot in coupe, and 30 seconds with one leg in attitude!.

buy or make a barre!. do tendus, releves, stretch, ect!. do things from your class because you will know them better and therefore be more familiar with them!. if you don't have a barre, improvise!. also, try using a theraband and pointing and flexing your foot for an hour!.

If you are unable to do the things I mentioned in the first paragraph, you may want to speak to your teacher again!. I know pointe is exciting, but personally, I would rather wait 6 months and get stronger rather then go on in a couple of days and get frustrated because I can't do a move like everyone else!. Or worse, break your ankle and never be able to do pointe again!.
