When you're getting paid for it!. There's no level of competence at which you automatically become a professional!. It's quite possible to be an exceptional hobby dancer, or to be a professional who can barely dance!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

First of all i love cheerleaders and i have nothing against them but you need to chose dance or cheer!. Because eventually when you have a ballet or modern performance your happy bouncy cheer leader personality will show through when you need to have emotions!. But you are a professional dancer once you have an agent and are dancing for professional choreographers and things like that!. But if you want to do cheer and dance than you are a professional when you dance/cheer for a college/nba basketball team or football team!. I Hope I Helped=]Www@QuestionHome@Com

All that "professional" means is that you do it for a career/to make money!. When you get to the point where you dance for a living, then you will be a professional dancer!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

A professional gets paid!. That is the sole, complete and total difference!. It has nothing to do with quality, time, training, etc!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

when you are in the most advanced class!. and ballet is spelled b-a-l-l-e-t!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
