Cut into cuban heel?

Question: Cut into cuban heel!?

if I take a small piece of wood heel of a cuban heel, will the heel just split in half or would it be strong and just stay the same!. What if I were to drill a screw into the heel will it split or what!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you need alterations for you dance shoes, the best thing to do is to take it to a shoe repair shop!. They can professional add & remove parts of your shoe, so that the quality is still good!. If you do it yourself, you can risk damaging the shoe resulting in the need to buy another pair!. And we all know that dance shoes aren't cheap!. I have altered my tap shoes!.!.!.!.I took it to my local guy and he added a thicker sole for a heavier sound!. (I love rhythm tap, and you need a thick sole to make it work)!. I also had him replace my Tel Tone Taps with those of my choice!.
