Technique is crucial!. Practice all the time in front of a mirror!. Watch your weight!. Body image is very important!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

some facts or tricks!? there are a huge amount of books!. if u want like a basic manual on all the terms, pictures and definitions, try "classical ballet technique!." there is also a great section on facial expressions, how to hold your arms, and wrapping pointe shoes!. one big thing you should look out for is defiantly knowing the terminology and having a fast head for combinations, good turnout, soft arms, strong ankles and practicing everyday!. good luck!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No ballet manuals!?! Go to amazon!.com and type ballet and a WHOLE BUNCH of books will list! But some things to think about in general, one rule that my teacher drilled into us when I was younger is "Don't sacrifice beauty for height!." When I am in class, I struggle and sometimes I do sacrifice beauty for height or whatever is the next cool thing, but only in an effort to get better or stronger!. When I'm at auditions though, I always do what is most aesthetcially pleasing!. If I know I can't get my leg up to 120 degrees without my hips being square, at the audition I'll do a good strong 90 degrees!. If I know I'm having an off day, I'll do clean single pirouettes instead of sloppy triples!. So essentially, showing that you're confident, in control of your body, and capable of performing cleanly, will always give you the upper hand!. The last audition I did I was favored over people with sloppy triples, because I did my super perfect singles lol, as basic as it may sound, it will help you get in!. Once you're in, just work hard, listen and don't speak unless you're asked to (in the work environment), and with your dancing remind them that they made the right choice!
Good luck, work hard!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

ok so my teacher and when i went to the summer intensive said the best advice is dont sacrifice turnout for hight!. if u can get your leg up to 90 or higher but it is parallel or less turned out then normal then go for lower!. if you can get around for a double but dont have a clean spot or cant stay in posse before you land or fall out of it then stick with singles!. but at your regular classes try and dont quit!. cuz u will eventually get there!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
