It depends on several factors most of which we do not see over the internet!. Only your teacher could tell you that after your dance classes!. Most girls start pointe between the ages of 10-12!. That is if they are started in ballet at an early age and taking between 3 and 6 classes a week!. If you were to start at 13 and you took 3 classes your first year and practiced 2-3 days on your own (only what you learned in class) and the following year you took 3-5 classes, I'd say you would get on pointe by the end of the second year!. Late starters usually can get on pointe in 2 years, some less some more!. It really depends how strong you are and how much your ankles can take, as well as the studio you are training at, the amount of classes you take, and if you work hard in class and on your own!. Although, like I said no one can really tell since we are on the internet!. also keep in mind that not every girl is meant for pointe!. Some will never make it to pointe!. Try your hardest and also remember that ballet in flats is when you learn the most and if you jumped to pointe before you were meant to you could hurt yourself and not be able to dance at all!. Ballet in flats is just as beautiful (if not, sometimes more beautiful) as pointe!. Pointe is a privilege, not a right!. Wait your time, work hard, and I'm sure you'll get it in no time!. Usually about four or five years but you can do it faster!. I danced ballet when I was younger(6-8years old) I was supposed to get my point shoes when I turned 9(2!.5 years) but had to quit for various reasons!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
