try putting a tuft or lambs wool (the fluff, not a toe pad) in the toe of your shoe, or go buy some corn pads from a drug store (they're little foam circles with holes in the middle to relieve pressure) and stick it to the tip of your toe in your shoes!. my grishkos did the same thing to me and the corn pads did the trick! i hope something works :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

try filing the sides of your toe nails down, also you can soften the box around the edge and see if that make it more comfortable!. until you find a cure i suggest a big toe cover (its like gel covered in fabric that slips onto your big toe!.)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Perhaps you've done an injury to your toe and therefore need to get an x-ray and lay off the dancing for a while, or least lay off that big toe!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

ask ur teacher if u can wear some ouch pouches or something for a little bit and see if they help and if so, ask if u can wear them all the time!!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

sounds to me like an ingrown toenail!.!.!.!.common among ballerinas!. it takes a while before you learn to cut the nail just right so you don't have pain from it being too short or too long!. my best advice: cut the nail straight across!. don't trim down the sides!.
i had ingrown nails in both my big toes and i had to resort to stuffing cotton under the corners (i eventually had those parts of my toe nails removed!.!.!.even MORE painful, trust me)!.

also, check the tips of your shoes!. sometimes, if you work them hard enough, the space that would be right under your big toe will shatter and it will become so soft that you might as well be dancing on your bare foot!. that is extremely painful when you aren't expecting it!.
hope this helps!Www@QuestionHome@Com
