Belly Dancing??

Question: Belly Dancing!?!?

I've wanted to learn belly dancing fro ageeeees and i've bought one dvd but it wasn't very good at all!.
Theres no classes near where i live and i would like a kit/dvd ect to help me learn it as i really want to learn it :D

You tube does have a ton of belly dancing and how to belly dancing videos!. I would suggest to look up any by Sahira!. She is a teacher in the Houston area and she is internationally known!.

Als on Fit TV (if you have cable) there is a weekly show called Shimmy!. It's a fitness show but it does teach you teh basic moves and basic posture!. The posture is very important because belly dancing involves muscle isolations so it is important to do it correclty so as not to hurt yourself!.

Are you sure there are no classes near you!? Even if there are no group classes near you you should be able to find a private instructor!. Some of the YMCA's even have classes!.
