i'm only 14 and i would ahve to move 4 and a half hours away and live with billets (random family)!. also i would basically be loosing all the hard work i've been putting into my schooling (i skipped a grade and i work really hard-all my family is doctors and lawyers)I wan to become a proffessional dancer but many people are saying that they think i can do better than this school!. It's the Quinte ballet school of canada if anyone has ever been there!. Is it worth it!? i have untill aug 15 2008 to decide help!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm in the same position as you, except that I am going to an arts school which is halfway across the world from where i live, and where ballet is the substitute for all ECAs !. So instead of doing just ballet, I do academics as well but also manage to train quite a lot in ballet!.

If ballet is really what you want to do, then I'd say just go for it - never mind what people think!. However what would happen if you had a permanent injury and couldn't dance any more!? What would you do then,!? Especially since you have no degree or education!?

In my opinion it is better for you to go to an arts school so that you can do academics as well as ballet, and have some education under your belt that you could put to use in the worst case scenario - i!.e!. having a permanent injury!.!.!.

It's your decision!. If you really think you want to become a great pro dancer, this would be a very good thing to put on your reseme!!!! (good dance school) Since your only 14, still living with our parents, see what your parents think, too!. It might be hard to be away from them for a while!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
