Take a Wet sponge or cloth (IF It is not wet then wet it by clean water)!. Next gently wipe the dirty areas several times!. Then put some soap on the cloth or sponge and scrub the dirty areas!. Rinse the sponge or cloth and re-wipe the areas you just scrubbed!.
You can repeat it again if it is more dirty!.
then leave shoes to dry, it will take several hours!.!.!. then open (if it is close then open :-)your compact or jar of toe shoe makeup!. With your pointer finger rub a little dab of pointe show makeup onto your finger!. Then rub the makeup on the dirty areas of the shoe!. Gently rub the make-up across the area making sure to cover the dirt and blend it in with the satin!. Repeat this process until the shoe is covered and looks perfectly polished again!.
Let the shoe sit out in the open air and dry for a few hours before putting it on or dancing in it!. REMEMBER that don't wet your shoe so much and add shoe paint slowly that it dose not look overpainted!.!.!.

OR
you can take a soft cloth and very carefully with a just a bit of water brush them off a bit!. I'd be realy careful about soap, since soap can leave a sticky residue that will actually attract dirt!.

You might want to be careful about cleaning fluid since that can discolor the shoes or even loosen the adhesive with which they are made!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Like Freckles said before me, calamine lotion will hide the worst of the wear spots and dirt spots, and dirty looking shoes is pretty standard for committed dancers!. Makes you look like you work hard!. :)

If I get a little dirt scuff or something on my shoes(I've gone so far as to spill kool-aid on them once, yipes!), I quickly take a damp rag and gently rub out the worst of the spot before it gets rubbed into the shoe!. That's if I catch it, anyway!. Usually it just gets worked into the material and my shoes look worn in!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well!.!.!. since pointe shoes are water-soluble that unfortunately means that you can't just pop them in the washing machine!. But, if you use these handy tricks maybe this can help keep your pointe shoes looking and smelling better longer!

1!. If the shoes themselves just smell bad (I know mine do), try using either a small bar of nice smelling soap or popperie to stick inside!.

2!. Don't forget that those toe pads also need washing from time to time!. I usually hand wash mine every few weeks, and I find that it helps keep the shoes a little cleaner!.

3!. If you don't have a separate pointe shoe bag, other than your regular dance bag, then I would suggest getting one!. This keeps the shoes from banging around in the bottom of your bag!.

I hope that these nifty little pointe shoe tricks helped you!. Keep up the good work!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Its not a good diea to soak them, but it can help to use a cosmetic wedge and lightly dab on a few thin layers of calomine lotion to cover the worst spots up and still maintain a close colour!. Other than that, crummy looking pointe shoes are a right fo passage!Www@QuestionHome@Com

i know this doesn't really help now, but if you use rosin on your shoes, in the future go to a shoe repair stop and get the box rubberized instead!. the rosin makes shoes look really gray!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i use a mr clean or clorox wipe :)

works like a charm

hope i helped!!Www@QuestionHome@Com
