Ballet demi-point pirouettes!?

Question:

I'm not the best in my class but in the last time i didnt di pirouttes good at al!.!.!.i couldnt balance (couldnt do even 1 completely without falling)!.But then one day i thaught about getting very high (while making pirouettes) ,like lifting myself and getting taller and all of the sudden i can do 2 pirrouetes perfectly!.The thing is that i make them slow!.!.!.i dont get much force but i do them great!.!.!.my classmates try to get as much power as they can and end up falling(rarely doing good pirouettes) and even my teacher praises me for my pirrouetes!.!.!.but the other girls keep laughing of me cause and saying that they do pirouettes better!.What should I do!?Are my pirouettes correct!? please help me!Www@QuestionHome@Com

quality, not quantity!. learn how to do it right and then you can practice adding power and doing mulitple spins!.

in all my classes that i've ever been in or taught, we've always been told that the only way to do a pirouette is to go for it!. be brave, and if you fall, you pick yourself up and do it again!

when ballerinas perform several spins at once, it makes a performance dramatic and spectacular!. but slower controlled pirouettes are amazing to watch because you can just see the control that the dancer has over her body!.
be proud! listen to your teacher and not the other girls!.!.!.if they think they can do better, then they should get up and teach the class!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Those girls are just jealous because your doing pirouettes just fine!! Your doing them slowly because you've just started, and your not completely comfortable with them yet!. Once you start to practice a lot, you'll get the hang of it and do them faster!. Good luck, and don't let anyone bring you down!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

They are fine! Don't let others bring you down!. If your teacher said good job and shes certified then they have to be some darn good pirouetts!. So you just practice and get better and better! :))
