OMG!!! YOU R EXACTLY LIKE ME!!! I am 13 and i started ballet 1 year ago!. I started in a younger class and moved up!. I don't think you should go up en pointe unless your teacher says u r ready!. I am finally going up next week but it has been hard work! i thi9nk it would be a plus if you took the younger classes but not really neccesary since you are more advanced and can probably do everything they can, plus its probably a little imbarrasing to be seen taking younger classes!. I actually helped teach so that it would be less embarrasing!. also i did releves eleves and echepes at home (also if you have a theraband those are really helpful too!) I suggest NOT going up on pointe without your teachers consent, because if you do, you could totally screw up ur ankles and you could seriously injure yourself!. Im sorry that i have to say this, but PLEASE dont go up until your ready!. i know ur anxious but it will just make going up en pointe feel like a bigger accomplishment! I promise that if you work hard in class and at home, you'll be up in no time!. ( also you could ask your teacher how close you are to being ready to go up en pointe, then work towards that!. I hope this was helpful!

It depends on the strength of your feet and legs!. I was able to go en pointe at the age of 8, without having taken any exams, so I am sure that if you are able and strong enough, there is no reason why you can't do it either, just don't forget to do some strength exercises and some ballet before you seriously start!.

I hope you do very well, and good luck with you dancing!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

My dance studio doesn't offer ballet exams (it was the only studio thats near my house but it's still a pretty good one lol)
That's really good that your teacher see's potential in you!. I think you'll be en pointe pretty soon (in about a year or 2) It usually takes people 3-8 years to get on, but I've heard stories of people getting en pointe in 2 months!! Good luck!=)Www@QuestionHome@Com

it really depends on how strong your legs are and how good your general technique is because, if your technique and strength are not good enough, you could end up stuck doing things the wrong way or either injure yourself!.
Anyway, I think that you should ask your teacher for her opinion as she will know!.
I hope I helped and Good Luck!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

firstly, it's not 'on pointe', it's 'en pointe'!.

secondly, I haven't taken any exams, but I've gone through a lot of ballet and I'm en pointe!. I'm sure you could get en pointe one day, if you worked hard enough at ballet!.

Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com
