It depends!. Sometimes, like any other dance form, there can be partner work, but usually not!.
Lyrical is sad!. It's happy!. It's embarrased!. It's a bunch of emotions put into a dance!. You will probably notice that every class will be different!. This is because lyrical is so versitile!. Lyrical dancing demands lots of flexibility in order to make the moves look smooth and effortless!.

Here are some examples of lyrical dance:

lyrical is in between jazz and ballet!. i hate to say jazz, but it's kinda like that just because the movements can be sharper, but then not!. its very expressive and emotional!. some people think that ballet is 'boring', so if you REALLY think that and REALLY don't want to do ballet, then choose lyrical!. but ballet is the basis of dance, and it gives you technique :)
hope that helps :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, you can take lyrical with a guy!.
It is usually quite hard to find one that is willing to practice with you, only because most guy dancers already have partners at most studios!.
You can dance in groups, solos, duets, etc!. etc!.
It is a very interesting style of dance, sort of a mix of jazz and ballet!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Lyrical is more of a modern ballet~ feet do not need to be pointed and movements are very different than ballet much more like stretching! You can do this is a class with others or alone!
