Hi again Ballerina,

This is really a tough situation!. If your goal is to become a professional dancer, let me tell you that you will have to dance in your style for at least 25 hours a week!. Two classes are simply not enough!.

If you're sure there are no other studios, I would go back to your Russian teacher if your ambition is to be a professional!. To be honest, I have had teachers who really aren't nice, but the point is that you will get much better despite the tears!.

My best suggestion to you is to be so good that he doesn't need to pull your arms or be too mean!. With Russian teachers, I can tell you that they will always find correction for you and will always find something that is wrong!. They rarely give compliments!. However, give him reason to be impressed by you, and he'll respect you more!. Russian teachers tend to give off an aura of difficulty to please!. That doesn't mean, however, that they aren't pleased!.

Good luck and hope this helped!. Remember, always feel free to contact me with further questions!.?Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think you should go back to the male teacher!. Your goal is to dance in NY right!? Then it sounds like the male teacher i better suited to help you reach that goal!. HOWEVER, you (an maybe your mom) should confront your teacher about the bruises!. Those are a bit more serious!. I'm sorry about your injury!. As long as you don't think that will affect your training you should go back to the guy teacher!. If not, you should try and get a new teacher!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Russian ballet teachers tend to be like that!. Just understand he is doing this because he knows you have good potential and wants to make you better!. I had a russian ballet teacher, i learned very much from him!.!. yes the years i were with him i worked my butt off and basically lived through hell!.!. but it has made me a better dancer today!.!. i say go for it!Www@QuestionHome@Com

well thats really difficult!. i woud say go back to the guy if you really wanna improve and get better!. but it kind of all depends you kno!? like if you really feel that it woud be the wrong decision to go back to him becaus he hurt you so much then dont go back!. but yeahh just go with your gut feeling i guess is what im trying to say!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
