Question: What do i have to do to get a higher arabesque!?
im already preety flexible and i can do an over split but my arabesques wont go higher than 100 degrees!.

Hi :),

It is a common misconception that arabesque comes solely from flexibility!. Flexibility is a small factor in achieving a high arabesque!. In truth, the true work is put into strength; flexibility will come easily once you can hold the arabesque!.

The best way to strengthen the back for long holds derrière is Supermans!. In case you don't know, Supermans are simple!. Grab a partner or get near a chair and put your feet underneath, so that your feet are anchored to the ground!. You should be on your stomach!. Do an inverted sit up by bringing your chest off the ground and back down again!. I would say start off with thirty of these, and increase by five or so each time!.

I would get up to about a hundred a day and stop there!. After a few months, your back will be sufficiently strong!. Now, try lifting and holding the arabesque!. It won't come quickly, but each time, try to bring your leg a little higher!. Once you can hold it easily, getting a high arabesque is a simple matter of flexibility, which can always be improved, if even by small increments!.

Some people are born with natural arabesque, but that by no means indicates that those without the natural height should not get their leg up to the same level!. Don't give up with this, because no matter how slowly, you can always achieve a better stretch!.

getting a higher arabesque does have to do a little with leg flexibility, but mostly back!. Doing back exercises will help a lot with a higher arabesque!. maybe doing the splits and bending back while in the them will help!. and there are alot of other back exercises that can help!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

really work on elongating your leg and wrapping your inner thigh muscles around, this will help turn out the leg which makes it easier to lift higherWww@QuestionHome@Com
