Question: Checcetti or RAD which one should i do!?
I have been doing Checcetti Ballet since i was 2 ( i am 14 now)
And talking to my friend she said it was not widely known!. And so i looked around to find a different syllabus to learn!.
And so i went to a RAD Intermediatte Ballet lesson!. it was 1hr and 15 mins, compared to my 1hr Checcetti lessoon!. If i wanted to be serious about my ballet ie!. become proffessional, which one should i do!?
Oh and BTW i cant do both
And the prices are:
Checcetti : ￡7 (5 mins ish of pointe worrk)
RAD: ￡4 (35 mins ish of pointe work)

I live in America and I don't know much about the Cecchetti scene in Europe, but you are correct, it is not very big in the US either!. I am in grade seven and have been taking for about seven years!. I have a great Cecchetti teacher and our whole studio dances to the Cecchetti Method!. Personally, Cecchetti strengthens dancers like no other method!. When administered properly it builds the right muscles and cultivates impeccable technique in dancers!.
I wish you could answer some questions for me because if you are not getting the right kind of Cecchetti training then you should transfer to RAD (It's cheaper isn't it!?= )!.
Do you have yearly or bi-yearly examinations at your studio!?
Do you even have specific grades with specific syllabi that you must perfect in order to take the examination, pass, and move on tho the next grade!?
I am concerned with the five minutes of pointe work that you do!. You are definitly gonna need more than that to become a professional!. The length of the class is not so important!. My Cecchetti classes are only 1 hour long, but every other day of the week I have 2 hour and 15 minute ballet classes, not to mention jazz and ballroom!. How often are you taking these classes!?

Cecchetti is great, even essential, but in order to get the best dance education possible you need to be doing more!. Either invest more time at your studio or move to RAD, but never forget the technique you learned from Cecchetti!Www@QuestionHome@Com
Definitely RAD!. On your resume it will still look fantastic though that you were initially trained in Checcetti!. It will also show that your more committed to getting the best training that you can get!.
RAD is so much more world known!. And the prices are a lot more cheaper too!. Most good ballet companies also base their methods around RAD too!.

Take Vaganova! It is THE Russian style of dance! It's VERY widely known!. It focuses on to the very last details!. It is really fun!. You can do any style of dance Vaganova style! It has amazing ballet and pointe classes! What more should I say!Www@QuestionHome@Com
RAD is definately better ,i have never even heard of checcetti til now!Www@QuestionHome@Com
