Question: Shimmy in belly dance!?
i shimmy practise few times for about a half hour everyday non stop and love to do it because i couldnt do it before and when i do it, i sweat alot does that mean i am in my fat burning zone or cardio zone and i will burn fat and if so, what are the targeted areas in where i will burn fat, my legs!? my midsection!? buttocks!?
all i knowis that when i did it for an hour 1 time my a-s-s was so sore the next day so i was just wondering if i did shimmies and only shimmies everyday along with my dance class once a week, would i burn fat!? along with healthy eating of course!.

Shimmy certainly can get you into your fat burning zone especially if you do them for 5 minutes straight or more!. If you do them pretty much non stop for 30 minutes you will certainly be burning fat!. The thing about fat burning is that it cannot really be targeted!. Soreness does not indicate fat burning it indicates muscle use!. Fat burning will occur all over the body!. The body determines where it will use glucose from so it cannot be targeted!. The muscle use will occur in the thighs, glutes, and on the sides of your waist!. This will result in stronger sometimes more toned thighs, better defined glutes and possibly a thinner waistline (although it doesn't work the front much so if you've got a pouch your looking to get rid of you'll want to supplement with sit-ups or crunches)!. Healthy eating is of course a good idea too!. If you really want to lose weight and reach target zones you may want to consider getting one of those watches that have a heart rate monitor and calorie counter in them so you can see if your target HR is in the right zone for fat burning and keep track of how many calories you are eating versus burning!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Do you mean whole body shimmies!? If so, yeah, you'll burn a lot doing that, but The Dance is so diverse, you can do a whole lot more moves and burn a lot as well!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
