In dance, you turn, you do not spin!.

When your turning, whether it be chaines, or pirrouettes, hold your spot!. Your spot is when you look at one spot in the direction your going!. When your turning your head doesn't move, but stares at that spot!. Then when you can't see it anymore, whip your head and look back at the same spot!.

You also need to use your core!. Put your arm in a first with your pinky and thumb hanging out (hang ten surfer gang sign thing!.) Put your pinky in your belly button, and your thumb in your sternum (the open spot at th ebottom of your ribs) Then squeeze the muscles in between your fingers by trying to bring your pinky and thumb together!. These muscles need to be tensed while moving!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

ok first of all: in dance it isnt called spinning!. iceskaters spin
in my dance school every time a new girl says 'spin' instead of 'turn' they are glared at by other students and lectured by the teacher
how to improve
1!. work on balance (either just balance in passe releve or balance in passe releve on the edge [heels hangin off] of a pile of books/wood block/ one of those mini workout stools that are about 2 inches off the ground)
2!. SPOT!!! you must learn to spot, if it helps wear your hair in a ponytail so when you spot it whips you [then you know you did it rite]
3!.do not sickle
4!. idk why exactly but those big rubberbands that u use for your arch really work
5!. so does rolling your feet on tennis balls
6!. work on tendues rite before you do turns to help turnout and pointe
7!. make sure you have strong arms ( in 1st, hold your arms nicely but then let your little 5yearold sister hang from an arm, make sure you dont move it, then you know you have strong arms
8!. you want to also not jerk your arms or move them unless its part of the choreographyWww@QuestionHome@Com

One way is to balance on the balls of your feet!. Or if your not spotting something on the wall that could help a lot!. The last thing is to point your feet and snap your feet up and have control!. I hope this helps you! :-) ;-)Www@QuestionHome@Com
