Not having seen it is hard to tell- I think it might be because your calf muscles are short!.!.!. Dont worry this is easy to solve just stretch by touching your toes with straight legs--- please don't go on pointe too often at home without your teacher saying so first!.!.!.!. To wear pointe shoes in you need to wear them flat footed around the house----- and if you can stand the pain sleep in them!.!.!. please don't worry about pointe its very exciting when you first go on but if you go on pointe too
much you could work a sickle into the shoe

It could also be because or the type of shoe---- I have a very hard shank and very strong feet but I also have very high arches

Grisko suit all heights of arches
Capezio and freed suit high arches
Bloch suits all but may hurt if you have large bunion joints
Gainers suit low arches BUT if you plan to do ballet proffessionally on pointe are not a good idea as they do nothing to strengthen your feet

Hope this helped!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

you most likely have to break them in better!. just keep bending them with your hands!. the low arches may play a part in why you can't reach all the way but you could most likely force your arches all the way, because that's what i do!. i have completely flat feet from dancing for so long but i don't really run into any problems when i comes to pointe!. so just try bending them a lottt with your hands, and that should work!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't know what kind of shoes you bought, but you shouldn't begin in a "hard" shank!. Most professional dancers use a medium shank shoe!. A beginner should start out in either a soft shank or a medium!. also, it will take time to get all the way up on the box!. You'll be able to see how the toe wears on your first pair of shoes!. By your 2nd pair, you'll see the wear marks are more centered on the toe!. As you progress, you'll eventually get up all the way!. Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

arch your feet more to get all the way over!. Its the only way!.!.breaking them in is something you can do in class, no need to spend extra time at home!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
