Well, I'm not sure if you have gone in to the studio yet, but once you do you should ask if they want you to audition and see what level THEY want to put you in since they will be the ones teaching you!. This way they will know your strengths and weakness, what you need to work on and need help in, etc!. I agree with most people above!. If you jump right into level 3 & 4 for INT/ADV I think it may be somewhat difficult for you!. Dance is similar to gymnastics, but technique is very important and if you don't learn the correct technique from the beginning it could give you bad form that you may never be able to fix!.
My advice, go in and ask them!. They're the professionals right!.!.!.!? (:

it sounds to me like you haven't danced for a while (besides gymnastics - and that will make your legs a bit tighter, too), so i would say start with levels 1&2, because if you go right into 3&4, you'll get frustrated, and hate dance for all it's worth!. my younger sister's friend just started dance for the first time (she's 12), so she started out with a beginner/intermediate ballet class!. she felt that it was WAY too easy (they hardly did any of the stretches that i do in my classes), so for the summer she moved up into my sister's and my class!. she's struggling a bit, but really doing OK!. if she started in our class right off the bat, she's be horribly lost, and get angry, and quit (she's never been one to stick with something that may be a bit more difficult)!.

good luck!

you should definitley do level 2 because although you may be strong from gymastics you have little to no technique!. You also will need to pick up on the vocabulary because i am sure you remeber very little from when you were young!. turnout is also going to be a big thing!. It takes quite a bit of training to develope the correct turnout that you could not have developed when you were seven!.!.!.!. If the teacher feels that you are advanced enough than he/ she will move you up to a harder class!. Most people audition when they start out at a new studio and the teacher will place them in the correct level!.!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

deffinityl level 1 and 2 because like someone else said you need to develop technique more and you need the right turnout!. I just started dance again and it took me a while to get the right turn out!. You also so have to be able to do turnout with out thinking and not stopping and fixing it!. So deffinitly level 1 and 2!. Good Luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

okay since you haven't taken dance classes before (even if you have been a gymnast) you should try level 1 and 2 because it is for beginners!.

if you find this class to easy then ask to be in the level 3 and 4 class!. i just think that the intermediate/advanced class wouldn't be good for a beginner!. :]Www@QuestionHome@Com

Try 1st taking levels 1 and 2 and if you find it easy ask them if you can move up!.
