Question: Ballet, a fresh start!?
I want to get back into ballet!.!.!.!.I've taken ballet when I was 3 to 4, then started again at 10!. Lately I've been watching a lot of videos of graceful ballerinas, and I'm regretting not sticking with the lessons!. I'm 16 now, and I would like to give it another go!.

I never got to pointes, obviously!. So I was wondering if you had any exercises I could do to get in shape, beginner ballet moves, videos to watch, you know stuff to strengthen my body!. I'm willing to put my heart and soul into this!. Any help that you can give me would be much appreciated!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

in ballet its all about lifting yourself and having great leg power

take a summer class at a studio somewhere!. even try and get involved in dance at your high school!. there are videos you can buy in dance mags and even at dance stores that can help you get back into the swing of things!.

you need to work a bit more to get started on pointe!. pointe can be very dangerous if you just hop into it!. i would say wait a year with intensive practicing and training and then i would give you the go to try point!. just build up those ankle and foot muscleWww@QuestionHome@Com

you can do the following:

1: buy a bunheads brand thera band, and do the streatches it says to do!. this will help build back that muscle!.

2: watch teaching videos on: www!.dancemedia!.com the are posted by professionals!.

3: do summer camps at a local studio!. it would be best to try it out at different studios, and ask questions before you decide where to go!.

dance is fun, and i am glad to see people getting back into it after not dancing for yearsWww@QuestionHome@Com
