Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Definitely not too old! There are some people who start earlier and don't have the talent or the drive to take it anywhere!. When you start is not as important as you talent and your love of doing it!. I think if she wants to do it, you should support her in that!. Even if she never gets famous or anything, she'll be doing something fun that will be great exersize!. In other words she should go for it!.!.!.FYI she'll probably start!.!.!.see how difficult it is to become a "dancer" and I am assuming a "professional" dancer!.!.!.the dedication it requires, etc!. than being a teen and being FICKLE her interest will change to something else!. Yes allow her to pursue it and even encourage her to do so!.!.!.but also temper the enthusiasm with the thoughts/notions about how difficult it is to make a living through dance/entertainment!. I actually think that is a good time to take up a skill!. It seems like too many parents force their toddlers into lessons and training for soccer, dance, music, etc!.!. 13 is a great age to begin training!
