Scoliosis and pointe?

Question: Scoliosis and pointe!?

My friend has scoliosis and is getting (maybe) a metal rod in her back!. Someone said she won't be able to do pointe!. Is this true!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

im very sorry, but i think this will end her ballet career!. When you have a metal rod inserted in your back, you are unable to bend, meaning she will not be able to do most moves in ballet!. This may be hard news for your friend, but at least she got to dance for a little while!. I wish her the bset of luck,

My friend has scoliosis also, and she got surgery!. She quit dance because my dance teachers said the same thing to her!. I'm sorry about your friend, maybe she will get lucky though!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
