I completely agree with both of the answers I read!. A music class could be great for you! I come from a musical backround and later decided to dance!. I think having that backround has really helped me!. I'm a stronger musician then dancer, but I think my musicality has helped me a lot in auditions because a lot of times, they're looking for dancers who can feel the music more then dancers who can just learn the steps!.

I think taking piano, guitar or even drums would be good for you!. Something like tap might be good too if you don't already do that, because it forces you to count!. I also just think that the more you dance and the more you focus on listening to the music you'll improve over time!. Being aware of it, and working on it is a great first step! Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

In my opinion, everyone is born with a sense of beat/rhythm, but some people have a better beat/connection to music than others!. However, with practice, time, and focusing on the music you are listening to, you can improve your musicality!.
Next time you are sitting down listening to music, clap your hands (snap, whatever) each time you hear the beat!. Continue this for a variety of different songs (slow, fast, etc!.)!. Keep in mind that some songs can have changing beats in them!.
Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Maybe you should take some music lessons or play an instrument!. That is how I became very in tune with music!. If you have a piano, try listening to a song and then playing it by ear!. It really helps!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
