I bellydance and latin dance, and I went to a ballet class once and I knew it would be hard, but I was surprised by just how hard it was!

Anyone who has actually seen a real ballet performance from a professional troup would know better then to say such a silly thing!. Like I said, they say it because they are uneduated!.

Ok well I think this question is worded wrong since you said "everyone"!. Some people in this world don't even know what ballet is, and then the people who do don't all put their fingers on their heads and spin around in circles!. More often than not little kids will hold their hands above their head and turn!. It's a famous ballet move and so it's actually good to see younger kids doing this!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

it is a stero type, just like the whole "you have to be this ideal shae/size/height to do dance

people don't realize that there s a lot more work put into this other then just spinning!.

the best thing to do is say:

i would like to see you doing triples on a stage

or

cuz everyone is stupid and because toy manufacturers love to make toys and other playthings associated with ballet because yes, litle girls do love it!.
