Question: Ballet!. i need help badly!!!?
heey
i have been doing ballet for 2 years now!. I started in Intermediate foundation, i did not do the exam for that as i was not ready for it, but i repeated intermediate foundation this year for extra practice and no one wanted to do the exam so i didnt get the chance to!. I am now doing intermediate aswell as intermediate foundation (extra practice) and i did not do that exam either!. I really want a career in dance ( i am already on pointe and i have progressed fast) and my teacher has said i can either skip intermediate and do advanced 1 or stay in intermediate!. I really want to do the exam now, because i know i cant have a career in dance without it!. But there are two problems, can i have a career in dance/ballet if i do my intermediate exam and the ones from then, but if i havent done the earlier ones, like what happens then!? also what if i repeat intermediate and i am with the sam people who dont want to do the exam, but i do, what should i do!? should i be the only persondoingit!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

ok well i did the RAD exams and i did Intermediate foundation over two years!. what i would suggest is to do your Intermediate exam maybe towards the begining of the year and towards the end of the year do your Advanced Foundation Exam!. i'm not sure where you are but i'm in Australia and a couple girls from my school did there exams here in Adelaide in April and then flew to Sydney in about October for the next grade up!. so over the year lading up to it they took both the Advanced foundation and Advanced 1 classes!. you should be able to do that a well!.

if you find that you are back in the class with those who didn't do their exam i don't see why you still can't do your exam!. if you are learning the syllubus then you should be able to take the exam whether you are the only one or not!. you ight be able to organise with another dance school to do your exam with them if they do it in groups or if its chosen by random then it shouldn't matter!. just tell your teacher that your serious and that you want to do this exam!. Good luck!!=)Www@QuestionHome@Com

do the exams! if u want a career in ballet then y do u keep putting it off the exams r the only way ur gonna do it and since u keep taking that class i am sure the teacher will not tell u that u need more work if u have tooken it like 3 times so just get to it!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Assuming these are RAD exams, you do not need to take the intermediate foundation exam to take the intermediate exam; however, you will need to pass intermediate to take your advanced 1 exam, and then pass advanced 1 to take advanced 2!. Advanced foundation (between intermediate and advanced 1) is also optional so many schools do not offer this grade!.

You should also be able to take these exams even if noone else wants to: RAD major exams take place during sessions at approved exam centres usually around three times a year in various cities and countries around the world!. You apply for an exam during the session pretty much as an individual rather than a group from a school!. You will be in with probably 2 or 3 other people, and they are unlikely to be from your dance school!.

If you do want a career in dance then I would advise to definately take your intermediate exam!. Take advanced 1 or intermediate foundation as extra practice if you want!. Don't worry too much about not having taken intermediate foundation - it won't really matter once you've done the others!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
