BEST ADVICE- Your teacher well tell you when you are ready!.
DO NOT GO ON POINTE IF YOU ARE 11 AND UNDER BECAUSE YOUR BONES ARE NOT STRING ENOUGH!.
Do lots of releves do get your feet strengthened!.
Your teacher will probably ask you if you want to go into a pre-pointe class!. This class you do not go on pointe, but you do all excersizes on 3/4 pointe, to get ready for pointe!. If you have been in this class and the teacher think your ready you can get shoes!. DO NOT GET POINTE SHOES BY YOURSELF!. Make sure your teacher comes with you, or get ot professionally done!. If you don't gte the right size of pointe shoes you can injure your feet!. O yeah I forgot to add, if you are not ready for pointe and you go on pointe then you could injure your feet and finish your dancing life!.

I hope this information helps!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

everyone's different!. if you're 11 or younger, most teachers say no (and i agree - i've seen some pretty horrible feet as a result of pointe at too young of an age) because your feet are not developed enough!.

best advice -- ASK YOUR TEACHER!.

if you want a general idea before asking!.!.!. the stronger your arch muscles are, the better!. if it hurts to just be on demi-pointe and doing releves!.!.!. you're definitely not ready!.

exercise to do!.!.!. try doing 32 releves in first, second, and fifth on both sides and 32 releves to passe on both sides -- should add up to 192!. if it doesn't hurt and your arches/calves aren't cramped!.!.!. then you MIGHT be ready -- but make sure you ask!.

pointe shoes aren't as great as they look!. your feet have to be really strong and even when they are, they kill!. the pain never really goes away when you have them on!.!.!. you just kind of get used to the pain!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

ur teacher will tell u!. in every school its different, and the teacher decides based on ur dance skills and ur feet and how strong ur ankles are!. theres rly no way to tell cuz its the teacher's opinion!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Usually, your teacher(s) will tell you if they think you're ready!. Some schools have a pointe prep class!. ask your teacher how you could work towards going on pointe!. Hope I was helpful:)Www@QuestionHome@Com
