I'm a figure skater and a gymnast so I think that ballet might be a good choice for dance even though I already do Hip Hop!. That's the usual ballet code of dress!. some studios will let you wear any color leotard, and or a ballet skirt!. You should call the place you're taking from and ask them if they have a dress code!. I have taken ballet from competition studio teachers which let you wear whatever as long as it wasn't baggy, a strictly ballet studio black leo and pink tights only, and been in a professional ballet company which was as long as you have the basics of a leotard, pink tights and shoes you were fine and then they'd let you dress it up!. I always wore thigh warmers!.!.!.they're leg warmers that go all the way up to your thigh, which was allowed to be kept on at barre and then taken off during center and choreography practice!. it really truly depends on the teacher!. just make sure if they say they don't care to wear something you can really move in, nothing baggy at all!. hope this helps and good luck :)Www@QuestionHome@Com You might want to chack if the studio has a website because it will probably say what the dress code is, but generally here is what most studios ask you wear: -Solid Black Leotard -Pink tights ( if they are converitble, tuck them in to your shoes as much as you can) -Pink Ballet Shoes -Hair in Bun -Maybe a short ballet skirt (if allowed at your studio) Good Luck =]Www@QuestionHome@Com why dont u call the studio!? a lot of times they have dress codes!. if they dont!.!.!.!. it totally stick with what is usual!. 1!. pink tights!. 2!. black leotard!. simple design 3!. split sole ballet shoes!. (id try to get them fitted at some store and not order them off at discount dance cuz its ur first time and ballet teachers like to see ur feet!.) 4!. get ponytails, bobypins and hairnets (walgreens has really good hairnets they are cheep two) to make ur bun!. (but since ur a skater ur probly have that!.) these are things u dont need but possibly might want: 1!. if you are uncomfortable get a black ballet chiffon skirt!. they are usually pretty cheep!. no design!.
