Question: Taking the noise out of pointe shoes!?
I need to take the noise out of my pointe shoes without dancing in them a lot, how do you do that!? I've heard with water - how well does that work and exactly how do you do it!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

all of those will work!. the fastest and easiest way is pounding them on the floor!. I have once even hit them lightly with a hammer, yes, it sounds crazy, but if u do it softly, it works!. if you need them softer right before a performance, a spray bottle with water on the box works!. the water stains and marks from the floor u practice on can be hidden with powder makeup!. Ask your teacher for more ideas!. they are the pros, they know bestWww@QuestionHome@Com

water will not stain your shoes, but it might shrink them, so you probably dont want to take the chance!. you just have to dance in them!. some excercises to break them in quicker are the stand with your feet facing forward and roll up onto the box of your shoe , alternating feet!. that helped me break mine in!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

WHATEVER YOU DO DO NOT USE WATER! IT WILL STAIN YOUR SHOES! whoever told you that is an idiot! water should NEVER, EVER be used on pointe shoes! sorry to say this but dancing in them is the only way!Www@QuestionHome@Com
