Position:Home>Dancing> For those who know what a stake dance is.......?

Question:

I'm planning a stake dance with my friend as a Young Women's value project and I don't know what the theme should be!.!.!.!.we were going to do aliens and U!.F!.O's but that didn't really fly with the Stake Prez!.!.!.!.lol ya I didn't think it would!. But we want to do something original and fun!.
These are the no can do's:
-hillbilly/cowboy/indian theme (we LIVE with the hillbillies &cowboys!!)
-Luaoh(spelling)/Hawaiian theme(they just did that one)
-casino night (duh)
I'm kind of leaning toward the 80's!.!.!.!.like having everyone dress up and having the guys where fros and the girls wearing tube socks and side ponytails! But tell me what you think!!

haha! i LOVE stake dances!.!. we had a really awesome hillbilly dance with really old country music and stuff playing! lol, see if you can talk ur stake pres into doing a casino night! lol! the 80s stuff would be way fun! i think that you should do the 80's!.!.!. sounds awesome!

Okay this may be kind of lame but my favorite party themes (not necessarily stake dances though) I've been involved in and would be approved of by your stake president would be:
Wizard of Oz
50s, 20s, 80s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and once a remember the 90s (we had a blast and it was easy to decorate and dress up)
Dress up as your hero (real life or fiction), though you may end up with alot of people dressing the same
